Local “Heroes” Donate to Red Cross

Kids Oneida has continued to make an effort in giving back to the community through a partnership with the American Red Cross. The agency has supported the “Heroes for the American Red Cross” campaign and recently donated more than $1,000 to the American Red Cross of the Mohawk Valley. Employees purchased pays off and dress down days for the cause. The Heroes campaign is a grassroots campaign in which loal business people, school groups, church groups, civic clubs and individuals join forces to raise money for their local Red Cross chapter.
On June 30, 2010, Kids Oneida sponsored a blood drive at their office on Main Street. 38 people showed up to donate whole blood and double red blood cells. The event was a huge success and further strengthened the relationship between KO and the American Red Cross.
